CANCELED: "Escape to the Islands" at the Parade of Lights

Hoped to promote the 2019 Season, but rain cancelled us out!

UPDATED 12/1 12:00pm: Little Friends cancelled the parade due to rain and possible thunderstorms.

If you really like parade-marching, you'll have to join us for the St Patrick Day Parade!!

Join Summer Place as we march in the Naperville Little Friends Holiday Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 1, at 6:30pm. We're passing out cards with this year's schedule on them to get Naperville thinking about our big season.

December 1 marks the day we announce our 2019 Summer Season, and Little Friends was so excited, they're having a parade for us!! (just kidding; we love the work they do and thank them for their efforts, but you can't argue the great coincidental timing!)

We need people to march along our Summer Place - mobile and pass out our 'season schedule and coupon' card. we have 5000 to give out, so that's a lot of passing out, but it's easier with many hands.

If you want to join us, let us know by saying you're going on the Facebook Event. Then come to the Centennial Beach parking lot, on Jackson at Mill, and look for our spot, ORANGE 11.

Please dress for the islands - Hawaiian shirts, shorts, sun dresses, sun hats, etc  - but don't forget its winter, so underneith your festive summer outfits you should have warm sweats or long johns. Health and safety first, of course, so keep an eye on the weather and don’t under dress in the interests of being authentic—no method acting required for this performance. Also, we meet at 6:30pm but don’t step off until 7 or a little after, so you may choose to bundle up until then and then toss your coat in the car while you walk! We need lots of walkers to show Naperville just how big a deal we are. The more, the merrier!

Summer Place Theatre's entry is Orange 11, so find us in the Centennial Beach parking lot near the end of the orange line. Look for the orange Honda Fit with Summer Place’s logo!

We will have some light-up accessories, but if you have fun necklaces or earrings that twinkle and flash, please bring them! Additionally, if you don’t tell us you’re coming, we may not have enough to go around, so please RSVP.

Ho-Ho-Hope to see you at the parade!
