2018, our 52nd season: Happy 200th Birthday, Illinois!

2018 is Illinois' Bicentennial Celebration -- the 200th anniversary of our statehood! In recognition of this celebration, all of this year's shows have some roots in the state. We're starting the season with a special musical revue opening March 23 at Central HS Little Theatre.

By Thy Rivers Gently Flowing

We took our title from the state song - yes, there is one - and will be singing songs about Illinois or by Illinois artists. It's an original creation for Summer Place by our own Cynthia Lauren Grant, who gave us the hit "50 Years of Musicals" for our golden anniversary and who directs the Summer Place Singers.

Auditions are upon us: Saturday, December 2, and the following Tuesday. Get your details and RSVP on Facebook.

The rest of the 2018 season will also feature shows that are set (or at least begin) in the Windy City itself. Check out next year's line-up:

Bleacher Bums
Opening June 8

A nine-inning comedy about those very special Cubs fans!
Opening June 29

The musical based on the hit "Some Like it Hot." Hilarious!
Opening July 27

A town without dancing? That's not gonna fly!

All shows will be performed in the Naperville Central High School Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now! (Hint: They make great stocking stuffers!)
