Did you know that Summer Place Theatre was the first community theatre anywhere to receive the rights to perform Fiddler on the Roof?
Since 1966, every summer brings great performances to Naperville. We've been blessed with top-notch talent on our stage. Here are a few names you may recognize.
The Late John Belushi was cast in shows at Summer Place in his very early years. Alene Robertson is touring with Annie, Marriott’s Nunsense and doing much more. Loring Stephenson is a professional actor throughout the midwest, now in Texas area, and recently was The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz, Lucia Spina was in Spelling Bee at Drury Lane Watertower, Les Miserable on Broadway and Legally Blond - the Musical on Broadway. Beth Lanza is a Disney cruise performer. Amy Arbizzani did shows at Goodman, plus Bailiwick, Stage Right, Apple Tree, and others, currently performing in cruise ship shows. Dick Hawks has had many professional roles throughout the Chicago area. Victor Hawks was recently in South Pacific on Broadway, was in the original Broadway cast of Urinetown and Broadway revival of Les Miserable, plus many theatres throughout the east coast as well as New York. And Arlene Page worked backstage, but has appeared in commercials, including the Walgreens commercials you saw last year on TV.
