Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell is one of the most successful musicals in history. It presents a whimsical view of Jesus whose followers and disciples re-enact parables and scenes from various theatrical drawing traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville. Godspell is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love. A show NOT to be missed.

Board member Heather Hutchison has been an active member of The Summer Place since 2005. She served as Vocal Director for Jekyll & Hyde and Director for Barnum and The Secret Garden. She was also Director and principal creator of the Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim cabaret Even Stephens.

Board Vice President David Lindley has taken an active role behind the scenes in producing all our shows over the past two years. He co-produced The Odd Couple and Arsenic and Old Lace. He has been involved with theatre since birth, as his parents were active in community theatre.
